the beach

Sitting firmly in a pit of sand beside my friend i look out over the quiet city just above the cliff tops, i begin to realise just how asleep the world is, how unaware one self is, how invisible i am right this moment.  The city was never quiet, but here it was quieter; fewer cars, the calls and shouts from the street seeming muffled by the time they reached where we were sat. Its early in the morning now and my friend and i, we remain silent looking at what must be the largest sand castle this beach has seen, screening the sandcastle, the mark's and curve's so perfectly preserved even after the long soothing wind's that are blowing up a scene causing little tornado's in the sand. Its actually better than what we were expecting especially as it was unplanned, bordem makes people's mind react in way's psychology can't describe. I begin to realise im actually staring, deep in thourght, i can't seem to bring myself to look away from the shadow that the castle is portraying against the uneven surface of sand. Maybe the sharp shot of light making my eye's dialate drastically was ment to make me realise this, between me and the light shining down from the lighthouse i felt astho someone or something was purposfully trying to snapp me out of my delusional state. We were both tired, the past few night's had to much going on, that and the fact it was to hot to sleep, by now we wern't even trying; content to just sit here watching and waiting for the world to wake and the ocean to reach and cast it's mark gradually further and further up the beach.
Looking over to my friend, a big gust of heavy smoke violate's my airway's i watch her cigarette burn orange-red leaving purple trails on the vision as it travelled, briefly casting her pale face in an infernal light as she sucked on it's innards to poison her own. "Why are we killing ourselfs this way?" It's a statement that poses its own question. It take's for my yet another distraction  to make me realise i have eventually poisoined myself from noticing nature's whereabouts The sound of the sea clashing against big baulder's of rock's, leeking thro the tiniest gap's, the quiet whistle of wind, you can hear her manically searching for freedom in hope the sea won't trap her turning her into a bubble that will combust and explode. Even as the sea creep's back into the ocean astho in distress, there is a sound between the water and the sand, it sounds astho the sand is gasping for air, almost like the sound a spongue makes when it springs back to its original form after being starved from recent water.
Running my finger's thro the sand as trail's of tiny graine's fall between my finger's i smirk slightly, the sand so soft and small against my skin is enough to send an itchy yet tickle feelings. Looking up  at the sparkle of the sea' reflecting from the sun, it makes a warm feeling in my stomach, a good feeling i can't explain, even if i could, it would be impossible to make you understand. We can see car light's arising from the city which just moment's ago seemed derelict. The city's waking up now, maybe we should flee the beach and make our way home, i know my true place to unfold will alway's be this place on the beach it makes you realise how beautiful nature is.
